About the Journal

Arqueología y Patrimonio - AP is an annual publication from the Colombian Institute for Anthropology and History (ICANH), who present all the publication proposals to blind evaluation.

The journal is a space of diffusion, discussion, reflection and consultation about archaeological investigations, where national and international professionals from different areas and disciplines and with diverse perspectives and methodologies take part. It publishes papers that address contemporan subjects about the archaeological and patrimonial practice and scientific research about widely recognized problems, research results, and advances inside the academic production in both fields. 

The papers presented include topics like zooarchaeology, archaeobotanical, biological anthropology, ethnoarchaeology, historical archeology, subaquatic archeology, industrial archeology and preventive archeology. As well, it includes investigations about applied technologies to the cultural and archeological heritage and archeology related with preservation, conservation, museology, management and social appropriation. 

The circulation is open to every reader in archeological and patrimonial topics, and its content is free access online. The total or partial reproduction with educational and scientific purposes of the paper published in Arqueologia y Patrimonio - AP is possible, as long as the source is properly cited.
