Resumen

Desde un punto de vista normativo, plantear el papel de los oficiales de la Real Hacienda en relación con la economía colonial puede parecer un camino de investigación suficientemente conocido. Muchos considerarán que con el trabajo pionero, aún no superado, de I. Sánchez Bella sobre la Real Hacienda americana del siglo XVI, el tema está en gran parte zanjado.
