Abstract

The celebration of the international seminar "Political Violence, Forced Internal Displacement, and Internal Agendas for Colombia is used by the author as a pretext to examine three issues: First, the auditorium, space of interaction between the invited to speak and the invited to remain silent, where the Jack of dialogue is evident. Second, issues related to consumerism, and mercantilization of certain cultural symbols. Lastly, the discussion incorporates the topic of academic dryness, related to the same lack of dialogue mentioned before.
