Prácticas lingüísticas, identidades fluidas y exogamia: reflexiones a partir de la historia de los yaunas del río Apaporis

Este artículo presenta reflexiones sobre las relaciones entre prácticas lingüísticas e identidades étnicas en el marco de la exogamia, a partir del caso de la pérdida y recuperación lingüística de los yaunas (río Apaporis, Colombia). Desde una visión de lingüística antropológica, analizamos cómo se enriquece la comprensión de las prácticas lingüísticas y los patrones exógamos de este grupo indígena al incluir la perspectiva émica de su organización social y al prestar más atención a la filiación, las prácticas semióticas (incluyendo las lingüísticas) y los procesos de identificación que a una relación lengua-identidad. En línea con recientes estudios sobre el noroeste amazónico, el caso revela que los grupos con alianzas matrimoniales y prácticas lingüísticas fuera del modelo de exogamia lingüística no son excepciones en el área. Además, muestra que las nociones locales de lenguaje, manejo territorial y organización social son fundamentales para entender y trabajar los procesos de pérdida y recuperación lingüística holísticamente.
